Logitrac offers GPS-based tracking and asset management solutions on a global scale for a wide range of industries and applications, including transportation, fleet management, construction, as well as the consumer market.
The company relies on the Cisco Jasper platform to provide fast and secure communications from devices to data centers, giving customers accurate and timely information—ranging from equipment management and maintenance alerts to monitoring teens for bad driving habits and unauthorized vehicle use.

We work with one other partner that’s not on the Cisco Jasper platform, and it’s been extremely difficult because visibility is basically zero. You are running blind.”

Harrell credits the Cisco Jasper platform with higher device management efficiency through automation: “Now we can automate almost everything—from configuring customers’ devices to alerts for exceeding usage limits,” he explains.
Live, actionable usage data allows Logitrac to take quick action—such as activating or deactivating the SIMs, adjusting device status or modifying rate plans. “Using Control Center, we can take a standard order that used to require multiple hours of configuration, and shrink it down to a few minutes,” says Harrell.
The reduction in labor has created tangible savings for Logitrac. Harrell recalls the time when the company switched carriers, and had to modify pass codes on all devices.
“Our costs have come down tremendously,” he explains. “Within minutes, we configured thousands of devices; if we had to do it manually, it could have taken several weeks.”
Increased visibility also helps the company’s resellers get a better understanding of their customers’ needs. Live data usage information and overage alerts are delivered in real time, not at the end of the month, making it easier to fix problems and make adjustments that can save costs before they appear on an invoice.

“Previously, we were doing business only in the United States, but Control Center gave us the tools to sell not only devices, but a complete solutions package.
